Instructions d’uso
Before the application.
Remove dust and grease by means of acetone. Do not use other
degreasers or thinners available on the market: they could leave residuals on the surface and compromise the adhesion of Floor Prestige.
How to prepare a surface treated with wax. Before applying Floor Prestige, remove the wax with a dewaxer; then rinse and degrease by means of acetone.
How to prepare a very smooth surface. On particularly smooth surfaces, such as marble, slightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper for metal. It is fundamental removing completely the dust. Slightly sanding, specifically suitable for the treatment of smooth substrates, is useful for every surface since they promote the coating adhesion.
How to treat grout lines. Grout lines between tiles are porous. Therefore, they accumulate dirt compromising the coating
adhesion and the aesthetic result. Cleaning grout lines is very important and it could be done
mechanically by means of steel brush or other tools.
How to treat surfaces under extreme stress. Add 2% (up to 4%) of Adhesion Promoter RY0406 to Floor Prestige range in case of surfaces under severe chemical and/or mechanical stress (bath tubs, gym floorings, laboratories floorings, clinics, hair salons, pet grooming services, etc.). The 0,05 L packaging was created to be entirely poured into Floor Prestige 2,5 L packaging. Adhesion Promoter strengthens the bond with the surface to be coated and improves coating resistances.
Application.
Spread the product over the surface. Before the application of the second coat, let it dry off at least 2-4 hours according to the environmental conditions. 2 or 3 coats are suggested for surfaces with high traffic. On surfaces highly subjected to wear, Floor Prestige can be protected with Floorings and Furniture Topcoat RP2260.
Drying.
Carefully ventilate the room to promote the correct drying of Floor Prestige. In order to get a state-of-the-art drying, avoid too much abundant application; excessive weight of product could impede a complete drying, leaving the coating wet and less performing.
